If so, yes I've used it on 3 boats with good results.

It's not really suitable for displacement boats.

Is the Silic One antifouling for hulls Hempel Silic One Topcoat Antifoul Biocide Free 750ml Black the same product also sold in their Propeller antifouling kit Hempel Silic One Propeller Kit | Force 4 Chandlery ?

thank you good info, did it last 2 years as hempel claim

3.5 years for me. I would then just require one topcoat which is where the saving is made.

Don't use it on props!!!!

It will be gone the first time you spin the props....

From memory, propspeed is an epoxy product that produces a very smooth, hard surface as opposed to Silic One which is soft.

Superheat6k of this parish tried Silic on his Corvette 32 and it dropped off first time out.

But for planing hulls Silic is great. I got 1.5 knots extra speed as it's such a low friction. (Or better fuel economy)....

Same here i have Propspeed on props and its brilliant, lasted 3 years and worked well. I tried Silic One on shafts and trim tabs and it flew off the first time out.

Propspeed is silicone based too. You can feel it soft on the prop.
