My list of unpleasant officials is English Harbour, Anguiila and St John USVIs. The offiicals in Jolly harbour are the complete opposite of English Harbour.
Might have to disagree with you about being a footie fan seeing as you support ...
Made the mistake of thinking of checking out from Antigua at Barbuda. What a dreadful experience, anchored at Long Beach on the west coast; having to cross the lagoon to Codrington, then the search under a blazing sun in a never-ending township for three widely separated offices that were like private houses with no signs of their official capacity. If you want really difficult' customs and immigration folk situated in difficult to access offices try checking in at West Palm Beach in Florida.
YUP The USA takes the biscuit as far as I am concerned.
I found the officials in St John, USVI, very courteous. They kindly pointed out that our ESTA VWP authorisations were invalid for arriving in a non-commercial vessel like a small, private yacht and advised:My list of unpleasant officials is English Harbour, Anguiila and St John USVIs.
