Visit site G'day Billy, You need to remove any contaminants like oil and silicon BEFORE you start sanding or you risk spreading them into the keyed area. Acetone should do the job, use cotton white rags and plenty of them, then sand and remove the dust with a bit more acetone, mask up and paint. Avagoodweekend......
