Anti Foul Performance

I will be using Jotun Seaqueen again, after 5 months only a small amount of slime on the rudder & turn of the bilge, the keel is clean, blue a/f

I've read that the availability of Jotun Seaqueen has been restricted/discontinued due, I guess, to its greater copper oxide content. It will be similar to some of the blends in the Jotun Seaforce range - again, only supplied to the commercial marine industry for H&Safety reasons. If you find a supplier let us know.

Well, after 4 pages of this thread I think thats just about every kind of antifoul paint that has been recommended. Useful!

I gave up trying to see what works best. it depends on the mooring area you are in - and that changes naturally too ! whatever they have in the shop on offer when I go !!

Agree that Seaqueen was a great AF, and Vinyguard is a great primer. As posted in previous threads, the discontinuation of Seaqueen is nothing to do with H&S, supply is dependent on vessel's coding status, not applicator's qualifications. Jotun are attempting to maximise profit by selling inferior Mare Nostrum to "wealthy" yachties. If you supply evidence of commercial coding to SML, for example, then Seaforce will be supplied and it is excellent, unlike Jotun's marketing strategy:disgust:
