Anti - foul paint on rubber saildrive boot

I don't think its to important which AF is on the rubber boot. For 20 years I've allowed both AF types to meet on the rubber to no ill.

Just don't get copper based AF on the aluminium saidrive.

I am not convinced you need to prime the rubber. Just roughen the surface up with a bit of wet n dry.

Suggest you use one of the spray coatings for propellers such as Ecopower or Prop-O-Drev Normally very little fouling there as it dies not get light and the spray does not build up like normal AF

Poking around in the shed I found an opened but hardly used small tin of Trilux 33; I’m assuming this is still OK as it looks good and the lid was well sealed - think I got it years ago to do transducer paddle wheel?

Yes, this is what I've been using for years. No need to prime, just slop it on.
