I have the same boat, engine and gearbox ratio, dating from 1999 and beleive my prop is the original and marked with " RADICE OTS8LB1L DIN 0898” so made by Eliche Radice. Mine is 21inch diameter. I can't find a marking on it showing the pitch but I have measured it as 23inch pitch.

O thank you so much ! You saved me.. so whats your speeds, cruise and max?

with a clean bottom and a polished prop top speed is 22 knots at 3800rpm. Cruise speed is whatever I choose :) but I am mostly content at 12 knots. Do you have a prop problem?

MY friend has got same boat same engine and clutch 2.43.. he is running cruising at 18 and full 26... thats what I want to achieve if possible...

Even the Beneteau new boat specification which is usually based on a hull without any antifouling and no additional weight or crew only says "close to 24 knots" with 200hp. What are you getting?

Now I checked his pictures, yes his full is 24..cruise 18 at 3100.. for me is the same as your speed.. but what happened i give my propeler due this infos to adjust and didnt know that my tacho is wrong.. and now i am even slower.. So i need to adjust propeler back to same as yours.. Now I am confused, is it really that this small diferencies between 2.43 and 2.63 is giving so much difference in speeds... damn. Frustrated.

The difference in shaft speed is 120rpm. about 1/2" difference pitch for the same speed. so in reality the propeller size is probably the same for the 2 different reduction ratios, although going up 1" might give you a bit more speed if you hit 3800rpm easily

But I cant get 18 cruise same as he got with 2.43 ratio?

The difference in ratio with the same propeller will not affect your cruising speed, only your top speed. Before you change anything make sure the bottom is clean, the sea is flat and no wind. Take speed readings at 200 rpm increments from 2800 to as much as you can get from the engine. Then you have something to work with. You should be able to achieve the maximum rated rpm. If not then the propeller might be too big. If it gets there easily but you get poor speed then the propeller may be too small. Suspect it is unlikely that you will get much more than 22 knots.

So you were getting 22 knots before you got the pitch changed and your friend shows you a picture of him doing 24knots. Why are you assuming it is your propeller that is causing the difference in speed between your boat and your friend's boat?

The engine is not problem..everything is new on it..from turbo, injectors.fuel pump,.hull fresh painted, calm sea.. I am not anymore assuming its propeler now I believe its difference in gear ratio?

See posts 8&10. The reduction ratio will make little difference - I have already explained that. Have you actually crried out systematic speed against revs runs? Pointless doing anything until you know what you are actually achieving compared with what the boat should achieve

At this moment boat can achieve full rpms 3800, but the speed full is 19.. at 2900 she runs 11 knots.. definitly propeler is now small because when I clutch the boat hardly move.. before adjusting prop she was running full 22.. (we send prop for correction because my friends same boat is running full 24 and 18 cruise) , but in meantime founded wrong tacho.. now we installed and calibrated new one.. So what eould you suggest to do next..

So if you put the prop pitch back to how it was then you will be back at 22 knots at 3800 and you will have the correct pitch for your gear ratio. After that, I recommend you stop trying to achieve 24knots and enjoy the boat as it was designed to perform.

Yes thats my plan... just wondering how muvh will be the speed at 3000 rpms.. I am finished with breaking my head with catching same speed as he got.. i just want to proo back to original phase.. And you helped me here I will give my prop back to align and thats it...
