Another \'What boat\'?

Can anybody help in identifying this boat?

She was apparently built some time in the thirties. She is currently an impounded boat lying in Melilla and a friend is interested in acquiring her.

The next photo shows just some of the other impounded boats (mainly for drug running.)

Re: Another \'What boat\'?

She has the look of a 8metre rule boat, probably 1950s / 60s vintage.
She looks to be in urgent need of love & attention.
Is any name available?

Re: Another \'What boat\'?

There is a name but I can't read it. That may be because (a) part of it has flaked of (b) because my eye sight needs checking or (c) because it's written in Turkish:-) The boat is British built and Turkish registered. Shes been on the hard for eighteen months after a marinero went on board to investigate why the bilge pump was running and found several hand guns lying on the table. This I know to be true as she was next boat to me and it happened at G & T time!
She does need a LOT of TLC and Dinero but the guy that wants her has no money problems and also can buy her from the government for €1000. He asked me if I can find out any details about her as he wants to take her back to Greece when his contract here is finished.

Most wooden boats look lovely...................but make sure that they belong to someone else (unless you are seriously rich and have a lot of time and ship building skills!)

Re: Another \'What boat\'?

I wouldn'd consider a wooden boat that needed a lot of work because, as you say, I don't have the skills but one in sound order is a different matter as long as you have the time for continueing maintainance. So, as a liveaboard a wooden boat could have its attractions.
