Bingo! The dimensions do match.
Now I 'just' need to figure out how to remove the two tags / contacts that are at the side:
... as well as the three that are at the top:
... preferably without wrecking the (rather fragile) plastic casing! I think that I shall wait to see if I get any reaction from my enquiry to the re-builders mentioned previously. So far there has been no reply. If none is forthcoming I shall take a deep breath and try to figure out how to disassemble the pack with the least damage.
