Ok I have had a formal complaint directed at me over this post so this is my time to bow out.

So thank your for all you comments, feedback, friendship etc over the years but this is me doing a GC1

Thank you and good night I shall see you all ( hopefully) at the two shows we attend as for me being part of the forum its not worth risking my job so I shall leave you lot to it.

Signing off for one last time!

Regards

That is really not on. Richard has provided sterling service here, and provides a visible presence at times when other moderators are not here. One little slip, should not create a formal complaint, or leave a decent informative moderator leaving.

I'm sorry but this is a travesty, we all have heated debates, that's no reason to take such a drastic action. I'm sure most if not all would rather just forget the incident and move on with you still doing what you do best, sorting out squabbles and keeping us in check. So you've had a formal complaint, probably from some *******. I hope you change your mind, I mean, who'll stop me posting naughty pics now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I do hope you will change your mind Richard, and at least carry on posting in the calmer waters of the Thames Forum.

How does one make a formal complaint because I will make one regarding your leaving us.I consider it everyones right to
have an opinion as you quite rightly displayed yours as did Rick /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Well I think this is just a load of bollox.......
We partake in a PUBLIC forum which allows us to discuss a whole range of issues and problems.
Some prove to be funny some prove to be contraversial (spelin) but like most on here I very much enjoy reading and taking part on the forums on a daily basis.
Now if a guy such as Richard feels he has to withdraw because of a FORMAL complaint then thats just piss poor I'm afraid.
Whoever is the forumite that made that complaint? I think you should have the BALLS to come forward own up to us all as a group and explain why YOU decided to be so bloody childish...........
I FOR ONE AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
PS if your thinking of PMing me your reasons then dont its a public forum.
Bloody very annoyed.

Wouldn't be surprised to see more of this. Money invested in sqM at open shows in the current climate is likely to be a waste for most potential exhibitors.

Richard,

One little spat, which to be honest was so minor compared to others on these forums does not warrent you to bow out and leave the forum.

You have your opinions and so do others and thank god they are not all the same as it would be very boring.

The formite who has complained, has no jusification to do so based on what has been said on this thread and is being very small minded, so I like others urge you to reconsider your actions and come back.

Handbags at dawn and dummies spat from prams - the joys of the internet /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Formal Complaint forcing a withdrawal? Mmmmm...... I am rather hoping that instead an opportunity was seized by someone who realised that their efforts to big up a boatshow were being counterproductive.

And FWIW unless the Marine industry is existing in it's own economic dimension (which it clearly is not) their are gonna be a lot of unhappy faces after the boatshow.......no matter how hard the marketing dept works - before, during or after - yer can't polish a t#rd, especially not when the patient has a touch of the Montezumas /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif......and I can sympthasise with feeling the pressure of being tasked to perform a job which is not actually doable, and may have personal consequences for failure........
