Hi all. Welcome to summer.
I have recently got that horrible feeling of being totally inadequate. I’ve got the ability to fix most things, I could rebuild an engine in a heartbeat, but can I inflate a Majoni fender………….
I know there are older threads on this, but it doesn’t help me. I have purchased new Majoni valves and an adapter for my compressor. I have a big garage compressor and have also used a 12 volt cigarette lighter compressor.
With the new valve in hand, as expected you cannot blow through it using your mouth. Screw the adapter into the valve and you can blow through it with your mouth. But, and this is the problem, you can also suck air through it. So it is not a one way valve as I had expected.
Is it supposed to be a one way valve?
I emailed Majoni and they said that if you screw the adapter right into the valve, then the valve is in the deflate position. They can’t tell me how far to screw their adapter into the valve so that it is in the inflate and not deflate position.
So having screwed the adapter into the valve just a few threads at a time, Im blowing through the adapter/Valve and just at the point that you can blow through it, you can also suck through it. So I do t know what Majoni are on about.
Long and short of it, even with compressors, I can’t inflate a Majoni fender.
All I can try now is to remove each valve and blow it up, and quickly replace the valve.
So just what am I doing wrong?
