Just got a new boat with one of the ITT toilets, when sea cocks are open the handle of the pump moves to the up position. Both inlet and outlet pipes have large loops in them to prevent syphoning. Is this normal on one of these toilets? or is there a valeve sticking somewhere?

Not had that problem with mine, however I always leave it with the switch pushed to the right, maybe that's the problem.

Despite the squeeks I'm very happy, doesn't let a drop of water in even in heavy seas/lots of heeling!

Question - What is the best way to keep your bum on the seat in a lumpy sea, on my GK24 it's like riding on a crazy bull!

Cured it

Cured it, there must have been a valve sticking I pumped like crazy and found that I could pump more in than was going out. All of a sudden it started working OK and the output matched input so to speak.

Handle no longer rises up against some pressure.

Agree, never had any problem with mine, but leave the lever to the right, also put a little cooking oil in now again - cure the squeeks and easier to use!
