Another electrical question - Voltage step up (12v-19v)

12v to 19v car laptop power supplies are readily available usually with a range of tips to suit different laptops and will probably also fit the TV. If you want to use both at the same time you could tee in a second parallel cable if the power requirements are suitable. I have used these without any problems on my boat.
This one even allows you to use mains power if available and has a USB output.

Thanks. I tried something similar in the past but it didn't work. Maybe it was just shoddy eBay electronics. That one looks a bit better. I understand there's some voltage sensing stuff going on these days in laptops.

Laptop is hp probook from 2019 but this will change whenever work decides. TV is LG smart led something or other...
 
I have one at 19v. It powers my Samsung Ativ 9 laptop and an Acer monitor. No problems.

Speaking from the experience of having a 14v Samsung TV, Samsung 14v soundbar, 19v Dell laptop and a bunch of UBS sockets powered by DC-DC converters, my advice would be to use something like the device you link to in post #1 for the TV, but to buy a dedicated HP car charger for the laptop. For example, i've previously run laptops from generic car chargers, but my recent Dell laptop flashes warnings about them, so i have to use a genuine Dell car charger. Laptops and tablets are increasingly being built with battery sensing and fast, multi voltage, chargers.
 
agree on not bothering with recent laptops and generic chargers...
some wont charge at all, some others will get in some sort of safe mode where they'll get enough juice out of your whatever charger to run, but will not even bother recharging the battery (sometimes slightly discharging it) so eventually you have to use a proper 230V supply with the factory charger to revive them.

I've spent enough time to get at least one USB socket on each cabin for mobile/camera charging and has worked fine until USB-C came along with it's fancy power delivery charging. Now my mobile charges slowly (not that I care that much tbh from my 2.1A USBs. Thought of swapping some of my sockets to PD, but couldn't find any decent boards that I could fit inside my VIMAR 6U wall assemblies so gave up for now.

Dell often have some digital communication going on between the laptop and charger to make sure it's the real charger. My HP envy has a centre pin in the power connector but that's so the charger can work out voltage drop along the cable so google says, It works fine off a dc/dc converter set to 19v.

One of these, been using these for many years, completely reliable so far.
