Another D3 problem!

Trim sensors. Mine fail every year, but now the warranty has expired I'm paying for them myself. Why do they keep failing?
Can the sensor be removed from the leg, cleaned up and replaced, or is it more complicated than that?

Hi this sounds like an outdrive problem not a D 3 problem,i thought that the D 3 bit was the engine&the drive is fitted to many engines(ie not exclusive to the D 3)i may be wrong of course,perhaps someone can enlighten us regards m m 1.

The D3 normally comes with an SX drive. This was the drive that evolved from the old OMC Cobra.

So yes, strictly the problem is a Volvo SX issue and nothing to do with the D3.
