So the Rocna is clearly not the best anchor...



Not for this Dutch boat, anyway. I've never seen one like that on a yacht before.

Those anchors were original kedge anchors on Trintella yachts in the 1980s. I had one as a kedge on mine and so did a pal also with a Trintella from the 80s. We both got rid. I think they rely on weight more than design. Super heavy

I wouldn't think so - that looks like a pretty substantial casting.

Well Trintella are Dutch and it was a Dutch boat that looked sound but low budget, so could be a castoff.
