I have just bought a wooden yacht, which was built in 1993, and has never has any anodes fitted whatsoever. There is no evidence of any corrosion to the skin fittings, but should I consider fitting anodes now?
Don't worry about the skin fittings, but there should ideally be some type of anode for the prop, maybe a simple shaft anode. Wiring skin fittings into an anode on a wooden yacht can accelerate timber decay - read this article for background info.
