You are far too pessimistic! We, in Skye, had a perfect view of the total lunar eclipse a week or two ago - the only part of Britain with a clear sky. You should all try it some time.

If its in the Western Isles it will allso include Midges as big as Wasps, or atleast thats what the bight feells like.

Re Pessimistic well given the current overcast state of the sky no I don't think so.. but you will need to be up at the crack of dawn..literally as the eclipse just as the sun rises above the horizon in the NE.
