You are far too pessimistic! We, in Skye, had a perfect view of the total lunar eclipse a week or two ago - the only part of Britain with a clear sky. You should all try it some time.

Re Pessimistic well given the current overcast state of the sky no I don't think so.. but you will need to be up at the crack of dawn..literally as the eclipse just as the sun rises above the horizon in the NE.
