does anyone know of a web site where there is historical data of the sort of weather/marine info we're all interested in when setting sail? (wind, weather, sea state etc)

50% of the time, theres too much wind just shy of 50% there aint enough. One day in June, usually a Wednesday in the office it's perfect.

There were several PBO articles on this a couple of years ago. Might be worth asking them and getting the back issues.

Not sure what region they covered - certainly did all of the North Sea, and would have thought this extended into the Channel.
