Running on a vmware virtual machine, not so hard really, and it works!!!!

I had to reboot the virtual machine somewhere along the way, but mainly just follow the instructions.

Log into googleplay and woo hoo! Navionics on your PC. If you bought some charts already that is.

You can send a route to Drive so it should be possible to easily export routes to your phone/tablet. Can't get that working yet, renaming the route as a .KMZ and putting it into navionics/data/kmz on the tablet doesn't seem to work.

Cool though  :encouragement:

Nice. I bought a £40 chinese tablet off Ebay a few weeks back (just to wind up my Apple loving girlfriend). Well impressed with it. If I can get some decent nav software I'll get another for the boat.

Haven't used navionics much in anger yet but it does seem very good.

Tescos do some nice budget waterproof cases to put your new tablet in :) :)

Aha! No need for all that, turn on the sync option in settings on both machines and the routes automatically magically appear in the archive on your tablet when you exit the prog on the laptop! Easy peasy.

Haven't got a chart with my Hudl freebie Navionics yet, so very constrained! But did you try KML rather than KMZ? KMZ only needed to compress and/or if extras such as photos need to be bundled with raw route/path, I would have thought...
