Means you can use opencpn with it's excellent AIS display, if you have ais over wifi

Currently using Marine Navigator with the full set of VMH carts which cover As far as Spain and Portugal including Azores. Done 4000 miles so far this summer, and I am most impressed.

And you can add AIS quite cheaply. I use it as back up to my chart plotter and planning at home.

That's very reasonable. What type of charts are they and what software do you need. I can't have anything complicated ro aet up and use.

Raster charts from Admirality and other countries equivalents. Needs to run on Marine Navigator which is only a few quid and will also show AIS information. Unbeatable value and very easy to use. You can install on 2 devices, so you have a backup .
