Doesn't it infuriate you the way words become adopted for new and pointless meanings.
Like everything is "solutions" and "logistics"..........Look at this I saw yesterday.

And why have they used lower case for cream when in the logo it's in upper case? Bloody amateurs. Crap driver as well.

(The boaty link is that it's at the Lake Cruises Cafe)

I work in Business Solutions...........

maybe your just out of date, but agree, crap name for such a petty thing

That's rich coming from someone that lives in a country where only 6% of the population have a passport.

Don't these bastardisations of the English language come from somewhere over the pond? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I have seen a business title including "Logistics Solutions". Pity I can't remember what it was.

I think it is a logical least spend synergy with the emphasis on Ice rather than Cream in our health concious world while keeping the cost of the lettering down.

By leaving the cream with a little C, it makes it easier to abbreviate the name to a TLA (Three Letter Abbreviation) which is meaningful. ie I L L which is what you will become if the ice cream is refrozen after melting /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

wull, axshally, when (in 1965) the gov employed some bods to do word recognition for the updating of all roadside signs, the conclusion was that lower case within a sentence was more recognisable and memorable than all capitals. so there you are ...

the tests included driving a white van, with a typical roadside sign painted on it, past the test panel of people who were sitting on a bench at the side of the road. They couldn't afford to mockup a proper sign and drive the test panel past it! true ... honest ...

Similarly I'm getting fed up with news readers all using the term "loved ones" to refer to friends and relatives lost in the recent atrocities.
But that may just be me

Anyone played \'Bullsh*t Bingo\'?

Recently heard from offspring of a game they're playing in management presentations. Each member of the audience is given a list of assorted buzzwords. When one on the list is used by the presenter you cross it off. When every item on your list is crossed off you jump up and shout 'Bullshit'. Keeps the presenters on their toes.

Re: Anyone played \'Bullsh*t Bingo\'?

Yup ... we did it about 20 years ago;-) An MBA course I did had hand outs of "bingo cards". Another good game when presenting is for a colleague to give you a phrase at random you've got to work into your spiel!
