Good job I don‘t smoke! Other option might be between Trefusis Point and Mylor. Not sure if the little blob to the left is The Governer.

If it is Black Rock, my thought too, then you are just off Whotsit Castle opposite St Mawes, looking SW.

OK, it’s just off Kiln Quay beach (sometimes called Flushing Beach), heading towards Trefusis Point. I was coxing a gig, heading over to St Mawes for a training session.

I though the item in the foreground was a dinghy on a beach. It now looks like an oar blade!

It’s the stroke‘s oar. We’d just got off the beach and the crew were sorting themselves out, so I grabbed the moment to take a few photos. Can’t remember the name of the sailing ship, but she’s a regular into Falmouth through the summer/autumn.
