I would like to try and revisit the Powder Monkey Brewing Comp - this time by yacht and paddle board. Tide looks ok for a pm visit on saturday but there appears to be some submerged cables.

Anyone know if there are any visitors moorings? Otherwise Haslar, or one of the others, and a walk

thanks

Explosion is in Gosport not Portsmouth
As Kompetent Krew said Hardway sailing Club Pontoon
First 3 hours free after that £20 per Day
Soft oozy mud at low water
Less than 1/2 mile walk to Explosion
Good beer in clubhouse.

I was at the Jolly Roger type pub the other sat night -first visit but good food and the lad who served us was very helpful/attentive,anyway yes seemed a number of buoys plus a pontoon and what looked like an old Leander class frigate? In distance to view . I guess Hardway moorings some of which seemed empty but might depend on your draft and length as to suitability. We went by car but could have walked along front from Haslar which might be for next time. Explosion is a worthwhile trip and you might also visit the submarine Atlantic near the Hornet sailing club.

Thanks PW I did know it was in Gosport honest ! My title was poor I should have said Portsmouth Harbour. Does the Hardway pontoon float or will someone adjust my lines for £30, don’t fancy popping back between pints it looks a long pier!

Yes Hardway pontoon floats except at low water, no need to adjust lines.
Very soft oozy mud, you'll settle maybe 9 ins below your marks at low water.
Security gate lets you out, but not in, pay at bar to get in, or nip behind a member!
