Rewiring my anchor windless, so at the same time looking at how the forepeak battery should be fused. Current set up is 110ahr battery in forepeak feed from main battery bank via isolator (normally open). From the forepeak battery 2 cables, one to a isolator then windless, second to a isolator then bow thruster. No fuses. Will be installing thermal circuit breakers to each feed. my question is should I have separate battery fuse close to battery. If yes where, on battery output then feeds to each isolator, or +ve feed to the forepeak battery? Hope the question makes sense

Thanks

Peter

The fuses should be after the isolator but as close to the battery as possible for your set up as far as I can understand it. Also the wiring between main battery bank and forepeak battery should be fused at either end. All fuses should be lower than the cable rating but capable of supplying the windlass & bow thruster. The wiring linking the batterys is possibly a problem due to the possible loads.
