Anchor pub in Cowes

We had a very good lunch in the Anchor yesterday, good size, served promptly, served hot and cheap to.

Anchor burger very good, but be warned, you need to be hungry!

Had a nice Moules and Chips there, back in the summer. It's where we usually go for lunch when we're in Cowes. Think it belongs to the same people who now own the Wheatsheaf in Yarmouth?

And The Mayflower in Lymington.

And The Globe on Cowes Parade. They also hold the licence for the beer tent on Cowes Yacht Haven for Cowes Week etc.

The Globe is long shut isn't it?

Shut at the end of the season, but opening up again as a Chinese Restaurant/Bar if the planning application on the front is anything to go by. They have closed out of season previously.
