an ode for the new year

May I stay on the water and not in it,

may my students laugh and not cry,

May the oil stay in the engine,

may the water stay out the boat,

May I walk on pontoon and not water,

May the only boiling water I see be in my tea cup,

May I only look like Mr Blobby with my wet weather gear ON.

May I only cry with laughter not frustration,

May the only cross words I hear be aided at inanimate objects,

May the only alarms I hear be my radio alarm,

And finally May all be safe on the water

Problem is folks havent the money to buy boats at the mo so it follows they may put the lessons on the back burner til they can afford a boat no?
