An enormously easy whereisit - or is it?

Sorry to have gone quiet. Had to go out and ended up talking too much (without drink). David is right - south bank of the Blackwater, the power station is just out of sight to the right. I am standing near the end of Beach Road on West Mersea hence the height, camera on full x 24 zoom so its distorting the background. I think - though not sure that the buildings are on the old runway at Bradwell Bay and the trees behind on the cross runway. I took the photo and stared at Google Earth for quite a while trying to fi8nd the buildings!

I thought I was right, my house is on the beach just a few yards from where the photo was taken. I sit and look at that view all day long

So where are the huts/buildings? Are they on the runway at Bradwell Bay. Seems unlikely but I can't see any other options on Google Earth. Zoom distorts the field of the background enormously of course.

In that case, I claim the prize. Mind you, I cheated, I spent ages on Google Earth, following power lines, looking at maps on the National Grid website, trying to remember where TG has been. Didn't look like Mauritius.

I am in Ibiza now, but I can't see much more from my house than is in your picture. I have not been over there for years, or at least not from the track to the chapel. They build haystacks on the runway, which can be seen in Google Earth. Did you take that picture during early September? I think I saw that ship then

6th October, it was taken shortly before No 3 Grandson decided to jump fully clothed into the water!

I think the sheds are the turkey sheds on the North/ South taxiway at 51.44 ; 0.54. You can see the feed silos, look a bit like turrets.
