Having used Photobucket quite successfully for some time, it now point blankedley refuses to work on my computer. On SWiMBO's computer and various others it works fine, on mine it absolutely refuses to work. Something to do with my machine probably. Have tried to find another "photo hosting" website and they don't seem to give a URL.

Can anyone suggest a good alternative to Photobucket?

I find Flickr OK, if you can't fix photobucket .

Edit: I've just found out what Julian's signature means /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif It's rude!

If you have a gmail account (and if you don't, send a pm with your email address and I'll send you an 'invitation') and you have Google's Picassa software, publishing a 2 Gb web album is so easy it's ridiculous.

Whist not exactly an alternative to photobucket and the like yourboatpix welcomes picture of boats out sailing. It now also has a very simple resizer to create "right size" copies of pictures for linking to forums such as this one.

I was finding Photobucket very slow until a couple of months ago when I believe there was an update issued. Its been much better since. Perhaps you might check re this.

The "upload"button on photobucket stopped working for me.Eventually resolved it by downloading a newer version of Internet Explorer from the Microsoft site for free. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm currently running a 30 day trial of Kapersky Internet Security and have found that it stops the upload to Photoshop - no indication of anything blocked - photoshop just sits at 0% upload - pausing the protection allows the upload.

BTW - I had a similar problem with a different security package when trying to upload my website.

[/ QUOTE ] More specifically due to a cookie problem on your machine possibly. Delete all the cookies, both permanent and temporary thet you can find that relate to Photobucket.

the new photobucket website seems to be causing lots of problems for many people. I've had a few pm's about it, and their helpsite isn't functioning properly for me and many others.
