I bought one of these and it has arrived. I have spent some time fiddling with it. For the US$56 I am pretty pleased with it.
Thought I should give some feedback on it.
The meter itself is quite tiny but big enough with 2 LED readouts which are switchable. The shunt indeed is bigger than the meter. There is also a small terminal board separate from the meter connected by a short cable.
It does give voltage amps and a resettable Amp hour indication both charge and discharge. One subtracting from the other.
It also has a battery percentage function. No Peurkets functions or anything fancy.
I imagine you would charge your battery then discharge your battery as far as you dare from battery voltage. ie about 50%) noting the amp hours. Then use that number as battery capacity. ie a practical capacity that you think usable. Charge and discharge should show you how you sit in relation to that AH capacity. Any overcharge of course will confuse that number as will the actual % loss from what goes in to what can come out. seems useful to me.
There is always a down side and the instructions are pretty brief although I think it is all there. I have spent some time fiddling with a bench power supply and a lamp trying to do the calibration. The factory default seems all wrong but then I may be confused.
You would need an amp meter or at least a light globe of known wattage hence amps to calibrate the amps range and of course a digital voltmeter to check voltage readout. Seems ok to me.
Anyway has anyone else bought one of these since the link was shown a few weeks back on this forum. If so let me and others know what you think olewill

This little gadget might take hours to explore all the possibilities. I forgot to mention it draws 25ma with display turned on and 9ma turned off. (every thing else functioning. It seems to have a relay output but this is not mentioned in the instructions. Hopefully for an under voltage alarm or power disconnect. olewill
