The Windermere amphibious car debacle has come to an end.

There is a owner of one of the islands on loch Lomond has a yellow version of those vehicles, I saw it in a nearby town one day, and dident like what I saw, it dident have the open cab roof.
Aparantly he uses it to travel in and out to the island.
I imagine it could be easily swamped.

He is/was the man behind Dutton kit cars, the Phaeton/Melos/Rico/Sierra (yes he had the name before Ford)

I built a Dutton Phaeton in 1985. It was not the most sophisticated of cars, and there were a few not insignificant faults with the kit when I got it. Down to a price..is the phrase that springs to mind. It never failed an MOT though /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Two years suspended eh...now thats quite serious.
