Americas Cup - thrilling racing at last

Youtube video commentary suggests are'nt the americans doing well now... except there aren't any Americans on board are there?

Their website hasn't updated the results since 15/9, still showing 7-1.

and they are financed by an IT magnate.

Odds on Oracle must be shortening fast - TNZ seem to be all over the place tactically.

dunno is it me? I get to see maybe legs 1-3 before the youtube freezes irretrievably, regularly.
I cant see waht is happening anymore, and am wondeeing why Mr Ellison doesn't promote it better than this?
:-(

I'm watching on the ac iPad app, perfect video stream for me.
I'm watching on board in Italy on my flat screen TV with the satellite dish pointed at 23.5°E, Astra 3A, FTA (Free-To-Air) channels. The Austrian ServusTV channels transmit live with NO commentary (what bliss), just the voice feeds from the competitors themselves. The digital video quality is excellent and the programme runs unbroken for the entire race times.

I can't believe the Kiwi's havn't got this tied up...unless they are toying with team USA and stringing it out for commercial or fun!?

Certainly didn't look like that in today's two races. They were well and truly beaten in both starts and in the subsequent races. It is beginning to look as though USA might win it yet. There was a certain amount of bad luck with windshifts, on one of the downwind legs NZ gybed and managed to make nearly 180 degrees back to where they started.

That was incredible - they closed up to within a boat length or two of Oracle, then gybed away and started sailing back up the course - they must have had 0 VMG at that time.

Seems to me that TNZ probably have a marginal advantage in boat speed over the whole course, but are throwing it away with tactical errors.

However they did have the "wrong" entry into the start both times whereas today they will have the preferred entry - if they don't wrap things up this evening then Oracle will be firm favourites

Well I'm gunning for the Kiwi's with all my heart; not only are they better sports than the Americans ( who seem to be on shore remotely controlling better sailors now the lawyers are taking a back seat ! ) - surely the financial boon of holding the next Cup would be a huge boost to New Zealands' economy ?

My late Uncle got off in N.Z. at the end of WWII and spent his life there, and his son my cousin - by all accounts a great guy, met him and his Dad once - works rather hard on fishing boats, it's tough out there so I hope they get an infusion of cash through the A.C...
