Ambassador Rope Stripper sticking

On the past two occasions I've removed my stripper from a Volvo saildrive it has stuck on the shaft. It spins freely and theres nothing obvious stopping it sliding free. On both occasions I've used brute force to remove it (Wacking with a couple of lumps of wood).

Has anybody else had problems and if so what casues the sticking

No such experience despite 4 seasons of use on a Volvo S leg. Mine always slides off easy as pie. I take it yours is a tight fit on re-assembley? If it binds up during the season that's harder to fathom out. I doubt a few blows with a piece of wood will do damage but it shouldn't need that. So far very happy with my cutter.

Have you talked with Robin at Ambassador? He's always happy to help - he designed the gear.
