Does anyone else get a strange pleasure from the fact that it is the start of the working week and it hasn't stopped raining all day? Make a change for the usual weather arrangments...

Re: Should have been on the Esat Coast of Scotlan

Lovely brisk sail on Sunday in warm sunshine. Bit too breezy for comfort on Monday, but another sunny day. Makes a change to be that way round right enough.

Grrr!!! A working week for you lot in Blighty but I was supposed to be off for a few days' cruise and it's been p**ing down so hard now even my delayed start looks to be postponed. Stop sending us your depressions from up there! We're quite depressed enough as it is.

It's at times like these that I appreciate berthing in Fleetwood, Lancs... Glorious weather all weekend... sun blasting down.. a decent blow for you Raggies but good cruising for us Stinkpots...

Shame by B&£%ard was out of water for anti-fouling and repairs! Got a nice tan mind..

Not when I was supposed to have a half day off while the mast is stepped and the boat launched this morning. In this wind stepping the mast would be like mechanised caber tossing!

When was this? It was fine in Fleetwood till I left for the boat jumble at about one pm...

Perhaps it was just the compound that was warm and sunny? /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Sod off ,I worked the weekend and now have some time off for sailing.Hoping to go foreign (England :) tommorow for a day or two if the wind drops a force ot two.

Gained some satisfaction making a knife and fork draw for the boat, looks good with a varnished mahogany front and of course will increase boat speed ,pointing angles etc????

If weather persists a hand bearing compass holder is next on the list of DIY jobs will I need to declare it to the handicapping officer??
