So I bought my motor boat early May this year. 34' seemed enormous to me at the time, I was worried how I could handle it with only 2 on board, sometimes only myself.

Well, since May, it seemed to have got smaller, and 37' is what I need now.

It only requires a bigger loan and a pact with the Devil.

Do boats get smaller so quick? and should I sign my life away on the dotted line for a 37' jobbie or will the 37' jobbie shrink too?

They shrink in direct proportion to the amount of use they get! Is it really worth going up by only 3'?

I too suffer from shrinking boat syndrome. When I had my 42 in April it seemed huge. Now a squadron 58 seems "normal" and the 42 feels positively dinky. The new 67 however does feel large, for now.

You are not alone and I too am heading towards the great financial abyss....

Problem here is that even Joanne is egging me on

Concerned that as it took me six months to decide on what rechargable batteries to buy this boat deciding business is unlikely to be as quick

Heeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whilst he is not very big he's one extra crew member and a heck of a lot of extra kit....

Old fashion, or what. I am a firm believer in, only buy what you can pay for, size don't matter, it's yours, bought and paid for.

Have you looked at a targa 39? Much much more internal volume than a 37 and a few grand cheaper too.
