I need the human computer that is this forum….
I am swapping all my zincs for aluminium during the pre season lift out.
I have tracked them all down…except one


It’s the propeller anode…only one because it’s a single engine boat…a two inch (50 mm) shaft…with a built in key to stop it spinning. The opening diameter is about 55mm
Can you help ? A French or EU supplier is preferred…just because deliveries from the UK can get delayed…and also want to avoid the trade war across the Atlantic…even though the manufacturers maybe American.

It says zinc.
Zincs I can get from my local chandler. They offer to order aluminum for me...but no one has accurate pictures or diagrams as to what the anode will look like....and they all differ in some way

They do exist 00405AL - Tecnoseal Aluminium 50mm Beneteau/Radice Conical Prop Nut Anode - Anode Outlet from a UK supplier but you will have more luck with a French supplier if you search from within France
 
I believe the salvage company who are doing the North Sea crash job , have contacted Bouba on how to manage oil and diesel spills .
 
The boat might get lifted out sooner than planned....everything is weather dependent.....and the river is raging because of the non stop rain....and the wind is strong.
Let me explain my situation....my permanent berth is in a river estuary....after the last of the rain, it takes about two weeks before the torrent calms down.....meanwhile, my winter berth ends this month.....and the forecast is rain most days.
Monday is dry and not windy....so a perfect day to go to the take out part of the river. Unfortunately they don’t work on Monday....and after that it’s very windy for the foreseeable....possibly too windy for the crane. So, this afternoon we will tour along the river by car to assess it (although I know it’s going to look horrific) and then hopefully talk to the capitainerie to see how they are looking at next week.
Boating.....what a pain😡🤬
 
You could take your engine out and sell it for scrap then change your anodes and get a tow to your marina berth where you stay all summer.

Yes….that is my plan because while zincs are easy to source, aluminium is scarce. But first I need just the one to test fit it…. I have found that the prop anodes can vary

Just received the anode from Germany.....the boat doesn’t come out the water until next week so I can’t be absolutely sure....but...it looks good...really good !
So, I now have a complete collection of aluminum anodes ....something I have been telling myself to do for a long time....but usually I’m too lazy to pre order...so I end up with zincs because that is what is available off the shelf.
