Great company motto: ( Sort of, life's too short for mediocrity, but better put).

Nice, uncluttered boats, tastefully discrete, mmm.

''Ne faites pas de reves mediocres, ce sont les plus difficiles a realiser..''

Boreal, by any chance ?

lovely indeed.... OK,now those numbers...

(by the way, do they ever come on the second-hand market?)
I don't think they have been on production long enough. We were on the 47 hull number 10.

Some really well thought out engineering, and I was really impressed with the solid sprayhood. Something I have totally dismissed in the past.

I thought Alliage, OVNI and Cigale had all been absorbed under the Garcia umbrella?

Certainly tough boats but expensive. Even the rich blokes are not buying big toys these days.

I thought there was nothing worse looking than a bare aluminium hull. I see there is - bare ali with writing/graphics plastered over it.

I guess even the 'coated' aluminium hulls will get damaged at some point: how to you patch them up?

I used to think the same.... but I have changed my mind... Bare ali, with a few painted lines, and a white deck, a-la Boreal (or Ovni) as starting to feel nice. In an utilitarian sort of way... A surface which can accept blemishes, a surface which you don't have to polish every so often...

"I certainly know of several examples of owners selling Swans and buy similar sized Hanses for a fraction of the money, getting the same deck gear, a more reliable boat and better accommodation."

You find the odd gem even in threads that, on the surface, lack promise.

Yes, I think we need names and phone numbers on this one, just so we can verify.
