Alternator test /repair

Need to find someone to test and possibly repair alternator in NW London, any recommendations

You would expect most to do this but it seems times have changed and most I’ve called do replacement and not testing or rebuild

My Son tested mine using a drill, "V" belt pulley, "V" belt and ammeter. But he was just trying to work out the wiring of the alternator. (He's a HD Diesel Fitter)

Hi, I used Sahib’s at 3 Norbreck Parade NW10 7HR to fix the alternator from my MD5 but it was quite a long time ago. They are on a parade of shops by Hanger Lane gyratory system. Tel 8997 8232

They are first on my list as I have to past them on way from Hotel to site all week.

Thanks philweb for the recommendation of Sahib’s, took it there, tested whilst I waited, confirmed diodes had failed, could have repaired whilst I was there but did not have time, picked it up today looking like new.
