The mounts on my 1GM are pretty shot, but after seeing the price for the genuine replacement at £120 ish a CORNER!

I've been researching alternatives, so far the only real options I've seen are the R&D mounts sold by T-Norris.
http://www.tnorrismarine.co.uk/product/flexible-engine-mountings/ For around £100 for all 4.

And these random eBays ones that haven no dimensions listed.

Does anyone have any experience with these aftermarket mounts? The R&D in particular look like a good deal, although looking at the diagram I'd probably have to re-drill and tap for the different hole locations.

There are two different rubber hardnesses for Yanmar mounts for my 3GM. I don't know if that is the case for the 1GM but make sure you buy the right ones. Volvo mounts have the hardness marked on them and I assume Yanmar ones must be similar.

If you use aftermarket mounts (ie non original manufacuter's) I think it is important to know the weight the engine places on each mount to ensure you buy the correct hardness. Often the front and rear mounts carry different weights and require different mounts.

Had a quote for Mounts for a 3GM from Southern Cross Marine (Polyflex UK agent) only last week and they came in at £140 each with a fiver delivery.
Not significantly cheaper unfortunately.

I used R&D Mounts on my 3YM30. First class quality, service and delivery. (No connection between me and them). Highly recommended and they publish thier Yanmar equivalents table.

Thanks people.

I'll give a few of these places a ring after I've measured up my mounts. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw £440 for a full replacement of OEM parts. Typical yanmar rip off prices I guess.
I've an old Aquadrive mini that I'm going to (finally) get around to fitting before this season so I'd imagine the softer the better for the mounts.

Seems like the way to go then is R&D.

Are the mounts a straight swap, or are the hole placements slightly different.

I think you would have to ask them, when I did mine I had to make a height packer to match the existing, but as I was also renewing the steel on the engine bearers it was no hassle to facilitate the new ones with the new installation. I believe now though that they do make a direct replacement for some Yanmar mounts, but you would have to check with them to be sure.
