Tek dek looked like a sensibly priced "fake teak" and looked relatively easy for a DIY installation. I'd given up asking for samples after the 6th attempt and instead decided to place an order direct. However, it appears they are no longer in business (according to Companies House) and the advertised phone number on the website goes to a self storage operation?? This explains the lack of any samples I guess. If I'm wrong about that please can someone put me right and let me have a valid contact number.

In the meantime, I'm looking for somethign similar that's relatively inexpensive and easy to lay.
Any recommendations? The coverage is just for the cockpit seats.

I know some folk really don't like fake teak but that's for a different discussion.

Many thanks in advance

There was an article on various teak style decks in one of yachting mags with prices which you might be able to track down however we have Flexiteak and looks very good if you chose the right colour . So far had for 2 years and just needs cleaning with patio magic after winter . No doubt a search on these fora might throw further info but it isn't cheap however just for seats presumably it's not so great footage.

I also had the cockpit seats and sole done in Dek-King (Same as Wilks) and am very pleased with the result after about 5 years. If you make up templates, they will make the panels up for you and it's then just a matter of sticking them down, although I must admit I had this done professionally. The hard part is removing the old teak if you have that already.

I have installed cork as a replacement for the old teak.
I installed it as strips but I can not see if it is still available in that form.

The only thing I am less happy with is cleaning, that is a bit hard work.

Website is in Dutch:

Isiteek is the diy version of Flexiteak. I did my last boat with it and it looked great. I am about to do the cockpit sole of my present boat. It is £145 per sqm including adhesives and VAT

Not bad news, the panels on my cockpit seats had been replaced with 'Tek-dek' while the cockpit grating beside them is the real stuff, emphasizes what a pathetic imitation it was every time i look at it.
