Just to answer Andrew Fenners question of what is too much wash.

their are some dickheads in all walk's of life.
the last time i was on the humber crusing along nicely.
some pudding though he would pass us within 25feet when he had all the river to pass us on.wouldnt have been a problem except the kettle was on for a drew.luckly no one was hurt.the said ******** then made a real mess of getting into hull marina just missing the wall.

There's more and more recreational water users, most of whom think their particular method of getting afloat is the one true way to nautical nirvana.

Yeah sure, at 25 yds. But the problem is actually the series of curling waves starting at about 75 yards astern. Perhaps you just need new glasses so you can see the damage?

nope the way i see it is we are all users of the water, but waves are made, not always intentionally,
even at 2knts we make a wave, we make waves in reverse..... there is nopt a lot any boater can do about the small amount of wash which is inevitable..... the antagonism seems to be the raggies coming to the mobo forum to whine back, after all we all know that they were here first and own the water
get with the plot guys..i get hacked off with dingies using the main channel as a race course, you get hacked off when people use the channel...guess what, no one is going to win
i must say of all the forums i subscribe to (in several sports/past times) this one has the most agro and attitude
