Yes, Martyn as you already know i went too the boat jumble.

It was quite good, I wasn't in the market for much, I thought i'd look for 2 things, a Pela pump that tcm recommended i buy, and a stailess staff so as i can buy a burgee from Hadyn.

I got neither. Wishful thinking for the pump i think, but i thought i might have found the flag pole.
I will order both of the net today.

However i did come away with something... a full roll (100m) of 8mm 12 ply rope, For £40 from Mr Splice.. I am splitting it with my neighbour at the marina, So 50m of 8mm 12ply for £20, I think wasn't bad.

The jumble was a mixed bag, you had to know what you were looking at, and know the prices, There was a load of rubbish there that was only good as garden ornaments. But a lot good second hand and new stuff as well.
I saw a brand new Honda 2hp outboard, which is what i'm thinking of for my dingy, and when i enquired the price, it was dearer than it cost in the shops with full backup and warrenties.

One good thing did come from the day though, I met another fellow forumite, nordic_ranger, Jim, It was a pleasure to meet you Jim, and i'm glad your stall went well.
I may bump into you again this weekend at Kip, I think they are having a used boat show?

Cheers...

Alistair..

Re: He was there

Alistair,
As a Club we did pretty well and like you said there was a mixed lot of items for sale from new to rubbish, some with stupid prices. We as you probally saw we had a mixed collection of 'goods' on offer. It's amazing what you can get for some of the stuff and what sells.
I'll be at Kip all weekend working at the show so I'll keep a look out for you, if you see me first say hello again.
There's some nice boats in the show.

Jim
