Every bit as impressive as the Red Arrows at the Bournemouth Airshow was the sight of the boats in the bay and the flotilla returning to Poole Harbour afterwards with the tide running out.

Looks like another enactment of an invasion!

I watched the Shoreham airshow and at the peak there were 14 boats there - a little different to those pics. Must have been quite something being part of a big group of boats like that.

Was a bit crowded on the way in, wasnt it! Great pic.

We were on the beach at Sandbanks on Sunday and it was great to see the massive number of boats motoring back to Poole.

I thought that was a nudist beach

You're thinking of Studland, part of which is nudist. You can see it from Sandbanks but you need bl**dy powerful binoculars to get any detail.

We were there too, and I saw the mass of boats moving off and heading back to the Harbour Entrance and thought better of it. It looked like something out of that old 70s cartoon series Wacky Races - boats all over the place and all seemingly at WOT.

We cracked open another bottle and waited for things to calm down then came back in thru the 7:30pm bridge - there were only about 6 boats waiting and it rounded off a very good day.

For most of the "types" that strip off at Studland you'd want to be looking through the binos the wrong way round at their "details" anyway!
