Can anyone confirm the diameter of the air inlet on a VP TAMD41P as 70mm?
I’m thinking of changing to a K&N filter after seeing the state of the standard filter after 60 hours. I can’t imagine the airflow is conducive to best performance through the manky current filter. Can't answer your question but intrigued why you ask.
Hmmm. I change my filter at 300 hours even though it does not look too bad. What is blocking yours at 60hrs? Dirt or oil?I’m thinking of changing to a K&N filter after seeing the state of the standard filter after 60 hours. The previous owner had replaced the standard filter fitting with a cheapo Halfords metal mesh one which didn’t really fit well. He left the original fitting, complete with old filter, on the boat so I bought a new filter and replaced the housing. The new filter is now looking like the manky old one, dirty not oily. The K&N filters are washable so will be cheaper and hopefully less restrictive over 3 or 4 years.Hmmm. I change my filter at 300 hours even though it does not look too bad. I’m not going to be on the boat for a few days now or I would. I think it’s 70mm but I don’t want to order a filter and then find my memory is not what it should be ?Measure the inlet.
