Decided to keep Harriet on the river for the summer this year. Book a berth at Onsey marina ( Oxford) so hopefully we will get a few nice days out.

A nice chap from MBM magazine read this forum and asked if I had any pictures to submit of 'my favorite mooring'. Why don't you send that one in? :)

Harriet looks lovely and may possibly be the only cabin cruiser on the Thames smaller than mine! How long is she?

Your thingy isnt in deep enough.

Sorry to be a pedantic old goat but the outboard motor needs to be much deeper in the water, hopefully with the cavitation plate covered by water and the propeller below the level of the hull. The "angle of dangle" is also wrong. The outboard should be vertical and not at the angle portrayed in the picture. Hopefully you can please Harriet if you make these adjustments to your tackle.

Regards.

Alan.

I think you might be looking at Harriet's wing engine (which, if anything, is a little too low but dictated by freeboard)

She appears to have a black outboard (mercury?) buried nice and deep...

Harriet has never complained about the angle or indeed the depth of penetration. Also having two gives her a sense of reassurance.
Happy days ;)
