Can someone confirm that this aerial is from an old style Navtex please as I'd like to remove it but don't want to
screw something else up ! Thanks

Looks very similar to my old ICS 4 navtex one.

Looks a lot like a lot of other things too!
I've got a (non boaty) GPS aerial that looks very similar and I've seen radar target enhancers a lot like that....

If you're going to remove it you'll want to remove the cabling too, so follow the cable, see where it goes and remove or leave, accordingly.

Looks like a sea me aerial rather than a navtex...

Thanks for your replies . I never even considered a SeaMe aerial. Paul, I did follow the cable back into the deepest recesses of my boat but am unable to see "the other end" - hence the question.
