In the centre is Kanonis, whose lift is used by Takis and Yannis Asprakis on the left, and Maltezos, just over the road. Good co-operation between the three yards, I'm told.

On the right is Gregory and Notis Asprakis. Yes, brothers of the other Asprakis yard. Make sure you know which Asprakis yard you're communicating with. Read the Aegina entry on my web site for a bit of history.

Planaco, further left, does the heavy lifting using hydraulic trailers.

Relaunching from Jordan Kanonis' yard with the boat in the hoist. The problem with the place is apparent - the slip faces the prevailing wind with no shelter. It was quite choppy at about 1000 hours, wind maybe force 4-5. This relaunch was the death-knell to my old B&G log impeller, which was ripped off by a sling in the process.
