Just vaguely wondering which boats to look at. I'm on the south coast and use the boat for local trips and short holidays with wife. Occasional trips to France and Channel Islands. My present Merry Fisher 805 is ideal but has only one engine and is a bit small for dealing with rough seas. About 34 to 40 feet (max length allowed at yacht club) would suit. Twin engines on shafts. Flybridge. Good engine access, with engines that are not electronically complex. I could go up to £130,000 but don't mind spending less.
My experience of motor boats is slight and I wondered if anyone could suggest boats to look at.

I can echo Richard C's views, i have a Princess 38 and regulary cruise the West of Sotland and Northern Ireland.
My criteria when buying the boat was almost identical to yours, twin engined, two cabin, flybridge, non electonic engines.
I dont have anything particulary against electronically controlled engines its more that access to trained and equipped engineers in my cruising area is limited.
Oh, and mine is for sale, perfectly within your budget
