Advice for boat yards prioritising boat launches when the great unlocking begins

That line about keeping the over 70's locked up a bit longer should help flatten the launching curve. And I am not being too specific about length, year of manufacture or age ;-)
Well you are overlooking that us70s can be there mon to fri to see our Craft launched we do not need to go to the Office or Work, so we 70s have one over on you 'younguns' in that respect; similarly we can Sail mid week without that Weekend Rush {:-0#

Ummmm, Bolton& Watt ?
I think you are very close to the mark.
Perkings, lister, petter, Leyland marine engines ,Gardner.
Some of the above are no more but their engines soldier on world wide.
Have you seen how crazy cheap parts are for some of these engines? ?
Might add KELVIN marine engines, they were /are 'proper job'marine engines, used on Canal and Fishing Boats worldwide, my Hand Book on them stated something like, its designed to be able to be maintained with the minimum of basic hand tools anywhere in the World, compare the second hand prices of parts, cripes

thats the thing that is slightly bugging me; I left the boat in the water over the winter to get an nice early start on the year.... still, could be worse I suppose, I could be 50th in the queue..

What’s a launch queue?

Well, I went down on Monday and got the Sails and all canvas fitted, asked the boatyard to launch, said maybe this week if lucky - had a phone cal on Tuesday morning to say it's been launched! Went down next day, fitted engine Impeller and engine started immediately, did several small jobs and now ready to go. Pleased to be afloat.
