Admiralty Chart Updates

I'm trying to download Notices to Mariners from the UKHO site to do my annual chart updating but am not finding any NMs for my charts ? (West Coast of Scotland) - anyone having the same issue ? - maybe with cutbacks there aren't any NMs ?

Wot cutbacks? This is this week's West Coast of Scotland. Depends which charts. Of course if you are looking at particular charts that have just been reissued, all the NtMs are wiped from the chart amendments. If you want to update previous editions of specified charts you would need to trawl through each weekly NtM bulletin - which is a pain of course.

Thanks tillergirl - at least you are getting something - if you (or anyone else) have the time and inclination can you try www.ukho.gov.uk and use the "Search for Updates by Chart Number from a specified NM Number/Year only" option - the first 20 attempts that I have made from a list of 90 charts have produced blank results - there are usually some charts without amendments but not 20 in a row - the system looks OK in that I get what appears to be the right heading for a list (it shows my chart number and the last NM I have updated) - but the list is blank. I use an Apple MacBook but have also tried using a PC using Windows - the same result. Maybe the site is having a temporary glitch ?

Must be a glitch. I have just tried to search on the above quoted charts and it shows none! I did a further random search on 2770 which had a NtM in week 8 and the search doesn't show that. It has a problem I think. Are you going to call that in? I have called up a local chart for me and that shows nothing as well.

Thanks tillergirl - good to know it's not just me ! - I'll contact UKHO and query and post any answer I get - they have been good with queries in the past

I emailed UKHO and got a helpful reply this morning confirming that they have had some trouble with NM Websearch but that it is fixed - I tried one of my charts again and NMs are now there - I have asked UKHO if Apple Safari is compatible with NM Websearch as I recall having problems in the past with printing colour blocks - I'll use a PC using Windows for colour blocks if that is the case
