adjust steering friction on a Yamaha F70

How to adjust the steering friction on a Yamaha Outboard ?
The wheel is very loose,
It is so loose that I have to hold it against propwalk
(I was very generous with the greasepump last winter)
Any knowledge on here ?

From what i can remember, mine had a knurled screw in bolt that was situated underneath the central steering boss, screwed out to loosen, in to tighten, very simple, but it worked ok. could yours have fallen out?
Just had another look, it could be on the engine on some models of outboards.

That is on the smaller Yam's I think,
mine looks slightly different,
some googling revieled that it is a third party option on the F70 (?)
