Adhesive remover hatch acrylic

Have removed some of those 3M self adhesive non slip tapes from my hatch, leaving adhesive residue behind. I know I can’t use anything acetone based, but what else can I use to remove the adhesive which won’t damage the acrylic?

Automotive panel wipe should do the trick. It will also remove fresh silicone, CT1, Sikaflex etc and is safe to use on plastics.

C-Tec Multisolve, part of the CT1 family of products. Amazing stuff, works great for cleaning up cured PU adhesives, silicone sealants, old contact adhesive, pretty much any sticky or what use to be sticky product.

+1 for "Sticky Stuff Remover". .............. No home should be without some.

White spirit or any other similar aliphatic hydrocarbon based solvent should also do the trick.

I have one job that I have tried so many - but still yet to solve ...

The adhesive used by sailmakers to secure UV strip to genny before sewing ... I have a genny in my sail-loft that I just cannot get it cleaned up ..

Two not mentioned so far: WD-40, good for removing sticker glue, and meths, which I have found is sometimes the only solvent that will remove certain residues.

Isopropyl alcohol. I have removed the glue from car window film off acrylic with no problem using it. Put it on and scrape off with plastic scraper, before using a rag.
